“How
then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they
believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a
preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring
glad tidings of good things!”
Romans 10:14,15
“For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.” Ezra 7:10

diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

“Also
I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for
Us?” Then I said, “Here am I!
Send me.” Isaiah 6:8
“For
when I spoke, I cried out; I shouted, “Violence and plunder!”
Because the word of the LORD was made to me a reproach and a derision
daily. Then I said, “I will not
make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.”
But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
Shut
up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.”
Jeremiah 20:8,9

An
old man traveling a lone highway
came
at the evening cold and gray,
to
a chasm vast and deep and wide,
through
which was flowing a sullen tide.
The
old man crossed in the twilight dim,
the
sullen stream held no fears for him.
But
he turned when safe on the other side
and
builded a bridge to span the tide.
“Old
man,” cried a fellow pilgrim near,
“You’re
wasting your time in building here.
Your
journey will end with the closing day;
you
never again will pass this way.
You
have crossed the chasm deep and wide,
why
build you this bridge at even-tide?”
The
builder lifted his old gray head:
“Good
friend, in the path I have come,” he said,
“There
followeth after me today
a
youth whose feet must pass this way.
This
stream which has been as naught to me
To
that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be.
He,
too, must cross in the twilight dim –
Good
friend, I am building this bridge for him!”
